WHEN DO YOU WEAR A HAT?

Some people wear them most the time, while others only on special occasions . I would wear a hat on specific occasions -- like a funeral or perhaps a wedding. If I was a fan of the races, I would definitely wear one there - to add a touch of flair to my outfit. My favorite scene in that classic movie "My Fair Lady" would be the one at the races where the ladies seemed to be competing for most beautiful or most extravagant hat. Today, hats are still a popular wear at the races - but of course in less flamboyant designs. Do you wear hats on special occasions or hardly ever?

When the Melbourne Cup is run in Australia in November, it is our premier horse race and the huge, flamboyant hats come out in force then.

@Kandae11 I wear a different hat when I go out somewhere and when I am around the house I wear a cap like a baseball one to cover my hair.

@Kandae11 When someone here is Orthodox and gets married yes. When one gets divorced it is up to the person if they want to continue to or not.

i usually wear them when i work on boats in spring-so the seagulls don't poop on my head.they're nasty lil flying rats.

I seldom wear hats. It is not our habit here. I will wear it when it is very cold. I need to keep myself warm and then I will wear a hat. Another reason I don't like wearing a hat because I am afraid my hair will be in a mess or there is a hat shape after putting it off.

I never wear a hat ever. I don't look good in hats and even when we have horrible weather the closest I'll get to covering my head is a hood from my jacket. I do like the hats that women wear especially at the Kentucky Derby

I only wore a hat once that went with a dress. I had to wear that darn hat, but it ruined my hair. I wear a bike helmet when I ride my bike, but will never wear a hat again.

I love wearing hats all the time. In the winter a classy black one will give you elegance, in the summer a festival-ish will look fancy. Hats look really cool all the time :)
