Ever wonder how beautiful this world is? What an amazing sculptor and artist and architect. What amazing precision and proportion…from a flower, a leaf, a snowflake, a grain of sand to our human and animal bodies, our DNA, musical note, population growth and the very solar system…even stock market, the Bible and theology? No two things are duplicated…a grain of sand, a snowflake, our thumb print, indeed our very ears itself. Yet there is beauty everywhere. Who is the architect of this marvelous creation? “PHI” (pronounced ‘Fee”) is the name given to this phenomena. Its numerical value is 1.618 _________________ ”Phi is the basis for the Golden Ratio, Section or Mean The ratio, or proportion, determined by Phi (1.618 …) was known to the Greeks as the “dividing a line in the extreme and mean ratio” and to Renaissance artists as the “Divine Proportion”. It is also called the Golden Section, Golden Ratio and the Golden Mean. Credited: Gary Meisner” ____________________ Ever look at a leaf, or a conch shell and wonder precision of the veins or the markings on the shell? The proportions are perfect. The fingers and toes of an adult human and a baby are perfectly sized. Every artist appreciate PHI, The Golden Ratio, the beauty sculptured by the ratio of 1.618. How marvelous and ingenious is God, The Creator! He is the creator and author of the Divine Proportion. PHI 1.618 is the number that is most beautiful in all of Creation. It is God’s hidden architectural secret in all of nature. The Perfect Proportion. When last did you look at something and marvel at the precision that adds to its beauty? Do you see God’s hand there? Look at the leaf above and tell me if you see beauty in the proportions? Credited: Picture of Leaf taken from the public domain.

Nature is truly extraordinary and each specimen/creature is unique in some ways. But I don't believe God created the stock market, the bible and theology. Those 3 items have wreck havoc on mankind and continue to defy the balance of nature.

The idea is not that God created the stock market or the bible or theology...but that each has a rhyme and rhythm...a pulse, if you will ...and this is space in this interval is called PHI. It exist in music, in breathing, in dancing. Stock markets have ups and downs...the population growth has its own cycle or wavelength too. The measurement of PHI is 1.618. Do you see the veins in the leaf above? That calculated at precisely 1.618...the definition of precise beauty. That's what God hid in nature...the secret proportion.

@Gita17112016 _ I have heard of the golden mean and I would say it's philosophical theory is similar to the yin and yang of the Tao in Taoism which also speak of the two extremes and trying to find a balance between them. Lao tzu the founder of Taoism predates Aristotle by 100 years. But the means cannot explain the ups and downs of the stock market because it is being manipulated by human greed. I'm not religious but I don't believe religion or the man-made bible has any influence on the movement of the stars in the universe. with regards to what is beautiful that would be subjective and dependent on the eyes of the beholder.

@josie_ I appreciate your view on this matter but our difficulty lies in trying to apply PHI to a stock market which we think is man made...or the Bible, which some view as man made...and thinking it can have an influence on the stars. We seem to be standing at tow different points. 1. PHI is not a philosophical construct. It's a GEOMETRIC construct. Just as PI is the ratio of a circumference of a circle to its diameter...PHI is the ratio of a line segment that results when a line is divided in a very special and unique way. The line is divided in exact proportion. For instance, A is a length of a line and B is the exact 1/10th of that line. B is now the new length and C is the exact 1/10th...and so on. 2. PHI is not used as an explanation for anything...it is a ratio that can be applied to understand how the Universe has such precision and variety. Take the leaf in the picture above...the veins are in correct proportion to the size of the leaf and to other veins in the leaf. The digit on a baby's finger is in the same proportion as the digits on an adult finger. At least, that's how I understand it.

The scientist calculate that the the space between the the segments are in proportion to it's size as a whole. It's present everywhere...the unseen hand...or PHI 1.618 measurement. Everything is made to this scale, small or large.

In the universe there is too much design, precision and intelligence to have come about without a intelligent designer. I learned recently that so far about 6 billion Bibles in whole or in part have been printed. Inside the Bible, God tells us his name over 7000 times. In Hebrew, since the language was written without vowels, his personal name is YHWH, pronounced as Jehovah in English. God reveals himself and wants us to know him. John 17:3 (King James Version) 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

@Gita17112016 There are some interesting videos on PHI and the Fibonacci numbers. These patterns cannot come without design.

Thank you. When the creator puts part of himself into his creation...that too becomes Divine. PHI is the scientific acknowledge of God's creative abilities. It's everywhere!

PHI is just the measurement in which God use to calculate the size and proportion in which things are built and decorated. It is a ratio that is perfect...at least, that's how I understand it. (^_^)
