Do you have brothers or sisters? Do you feel the existence of generation gap among your family?

During this long summer holiday, I spent most of my time with my younger sister. I am 4 years older than her. Although we are both post 90s, I felt huge generation gap probably brought by the 4 years' time. I can't stand her using network popular words, I can't stand her going after pop stars, I can't stand her strange friends(strange to me), and I can't stand her making up when she's so young. Besides, I thought she never cared about people around, especially my parents. I feel it's a common phenomenon that kids of post 95s are self-centered. So we always argued when we were together. I wanted her to have a right lifestyle, at least right to me. Am I a control freak who wants to eliminate the generation gap or is it impossible to change other's attitudes?

I would not say that 4 years would cause a generation gap. Maybe both of you have different personalities and that is all.

Maybe you're right. Maybe it's because I have 4 years more life experience than her .

@mavlana Yeah. I've been trying very hard to change my attitude to her and make us both comfortable.

Maybe I just want to protect her because I don't think she is mature enough to live independently. But I should let her to live it.

Things happen nowadays. Luckily, my siblings and I are not in that particular situation. I think because the years apart in terms of age is not that far. If there some new things, we shared thoughts about it. It is ourselves to choose or not. Open communication is the best way to do it.

I like your answer. I think it's pretty good to keep an open mind.
