Temporary Escape

How do you deal with your problems, heartaches, and stress? How do you celebrate a success or an occasion?
How do you unwind after a stressful day? Do you escape temporarily and enjoy with family and friends over food, coffee, or drinks?
My temporary escape would include writing, going out with friends, and enjoying the company of my family.
*Picture is mine. The poem is an original. I previously posted on my FB page and IG.

Really depends on the situation but a couple shots of tequila should do the trick for me!

@nottoooldtowrite I don't need tequila, I can find trouble on my own!

Thanks. I want a massage too. I used to have a two-hour massage at least once a week but I am too busy lately that I could not even do that.

@nottoooldtowrite it used to take me 1.5 to 2 months to get one, but now i make sure it's not too far apart. however, i have a low pain threshold so i'm okay with the express one-hour massages.

Listening to music is really relaxing. I sometimes find myself dancing.

Sometimes just finding some quiet time and trying to do something productive or mindless. Sometimes something that requires my full attention to be refocused or a distraction like tv. Suppose it depends on what kind of day it was what happened what's on my mind. Each has its own remedy.

True. The kind of distraction we need depends on the intensity of our stress.

I enjoy reading a book or yoga. Its calming and a chance to not think about all the problems in the world and the weather.

That's good. We all need a timeout from all the stress at work.
