Yesterday I went to a large supermarket to buy some groceries and when I went to the cash register something really gross and disgusting happened...
There was a couple in front of me in line. The woman took out a tissue, blew her nose and then took the tissue and THREW IT on my groceries that were behind hers. She just stared and looked away. I told her to be ashamed of herself so the cashier took the tissue and scolded the woman for her behavior. The husband was just laughing...the woman said she threw the tissue on my food because there were no garbage cans nearby...well TOO BAD. She should've held on to it until she left the store not throw it on people's groceries...
I was so mad I made some rather rude comments that I don't regret.

@enlightenedpsych2 I'm not sure how to answer that. I don't know anyone who is a germaphobia but most of us use bins when they're available and I can't imagine anyone doing what this woman did. Bottles and takeaway containers get thrown out of car windows along the roadsides but I think otherwise Australians use rubbish bins when they can.

Awwww She's too bad! Hmmm If I can't find a trash can, I usually put my tissue inside my pocket or inside my bag.

That is so gross and rude. That would have angered me too. Why toss it at your groceries, she could have thrown in the floor if she was mad cause there was no garbage can. Throwing it on the floor would have been rude but at least it would have been better then throwing on your groceries.

Well that is just plain nasty. I would have asked the cashier for a paper towel, picked up the nasty thing and tossed it in her bags. What a low life. I couldn't imagine that ever happening.

Even her explanation justifying what she did was preposterous. I am sure you must have dug out the rudest comments from your kitty and hurled at her (lol)

@tzwries Her behavior was rude and mannerless. It is not about germophobia.Even if the tissue was wet from plainwater, throwing the
tissue like that was wrong.Instead of apologizing and retrieving the tissue, the husband was laughing.Very rude and selfish couple.

How rude! I can't believe someone would act so vulgar and revolting towards someone like yourself at a store!

@tzwrites I once saw an old woman sampling grapes at the supermarket. Apparently, she didn't like one and spit it out into the remaining bunches of grapes. I gave her a piece of my mind and she ran out of the store. Needless to say, I didn't buy grapes that day.

oh, that is so unbecoming of a WOMAN and i think she should be berated to the highest level because she is showing the attitude she has and this may cause embarrassment to her family. how dare the husband just laughed.

@tzwrites they are uneducated people, no doubt about that. maybe they are picking a fight? there are some people, and sad to say, mature people, who pick a fight to those unassuming and peaceful persons. i think it is their joy to get others quarrel with them.

Oh, my word! I would have been so shocked and disgusted if this had happened to me! Why would a fully grown adult think that was acceptable?
