You've been hit , I been hit we all got struck by a smooth criminal The FLU! Everyone was perfectly fine yesterday. This morning I took our son to the bus stop like I do every morning It's one of our guy things that we do together. Well shortly after he left the school calls to tell us that he was in the nurses office not feeling well. So we said we would be there asap. We bring him home and as soon as he got out of the car he was puking. He is running a slight fever and he doesn't want to do anything. His sibling wants to be with him to comfort him. She will be the next one hit with it. They will get better and then we will have it from caring for them and cleaning up after them. This feels like we just been attacked by a group of ninja's. You don't even know you got hit until its too late and you can't do anything. Smooth criminals Michael Jackson said it best.

Ugh! And in a household, it's inevitable that everyone gets attacked by the same ninja, eventually. Knock on wood we have been able to block the ninjas from coming in . . . everyone at Hubby's work and kids' school has been sick. Hope your son gets better soon!!

Oh no I always dread flu season. I thankfully rarely ever catch the flu nor do my kids. That is so sweet how you take your son to the bus stop as a guy thing :-) I really hope none of you catch what your son has. Most of these are airbourne but disinfect everything really well and hopefully that will help.

So far its just him and his little sister they have been extremely close. They have been reading each other stories and bringing each other water and snuggling up together. Its so cute because they don't always get along this well. Yesterday they each took a bath came out and both sat in the couch watching tv under the blanket. He comes over sniffling and whispers the little devil is asleep! Haha she looks so cute. Mom Dad if you guys didn't know its cute because she is asleep and its the only time she is good when she's not being a little devil.

@shaggin They have a love hate relationship that nobody can come between . Sometimes they are really mean to one another. They throw each other out of their rooms. Usually its the oldest kicking out the little one for touching and digging in things. He yells okay that's it get out you're making a mess you little nosy rosey! She stomps out and yells back you meanie you're room was messy I love you but i don't like you butthead! Now if we say something then they defend each other. Don't talk trash about my brother you can't be mean to him only I can. Then you hear him yeah what she said but Monkey you can't be mean to me I'm the oldest. Lol I think we all go through it and I hope they have more lovey moments than their fights which most times we have learned to let them work out themselves.

@lokisdad Due to my having an Autoimmunity disorder such as Fibromyalga and other Health issues as well as being Diabetic, the Flu shot has never been something I will ever get again either.

@KrauseHome Yea those illnesses are not a picnic to deal with. Flu shots are great for some people but they don't have the same positive results for everyone. When you wait for the bus you get into conversations with the other parents. Usually during seasons where getting sick is more common the questions come up on who got what shots. Every now and then there is a parent who is a stickler for shots it can become a person you later learn not to discuss the topic with them.

The flu sucks but what sucks more is thinking that it used to kill people and its still doing it although not like it did many years ago before a vaccine was found. I don't get it and we don't give it to the kids we found that shortly after they got it they would get sick so we stopped getting them it. It almost seem to defeat the purpose almost. Although we know that you don't always get the strand that you got the vaccine for it still sucks. I don't knock anyone who gets the shot it is just not for us.

I hate stomach bugs!!! With a passion. As you say one gets it, then the next person then the next person. Every time I think we are past the "season", I hear of someone or more people who have been throwing up. Only 2 grandkids here in the house have had the throwing up that I am aware of. My daughter (their mother) has been throwing up, but I now know that is morning sickness.

Lol I am sorry it's not funny but as soon as you mentioned the daughter puking I instantly thought morning sickness. I suffered from couvade syndrome and I puked every morning for the first trimester. It was how I knew she was pregnant before we confirmed the pregnancy. It almost makes you want to live in a bubble like bubble boy so you don't ever have to be sick again.Oh and being sick cost you tons of money in missed days and meds.

Me and you both I can't wait until they are both better and he is back in school. The wife and I can get a bit of rest. They are actually pretty good when they are sick they mostly are quiet and sleep but the spiking fever is what is a pain in the neck having to get up every few hours and check on it to make sure it s down and stays down. If you wake them then they get cranky and getting them back down and calm can take a bit.

Thanks me too. The neighbors have it as well. They were in the ER with their kids at 3am only to find out they have what is going around and they were told they just have to let it pass.

Sometimes I get notifications that someone has left a comment and I can't find them it makes me feel bad because I don't want people to think I am ignoring their comments. If you didn't get a response from me most likely I didn't find it. I appreciate it we are taking turns being sick here lol. Like its some thing we all want a shot at doing.

Yea lucky it wasn't a stomach bug we have been hit by those in the past and then you realize how important it is to have more than one bathroom when you have little ones.

Thanks me too I always get sick after the kids and usually my wife does after we all have and when she does she gets pretty bad. My wife is one tough cookie so when you see her unable to get out of bed you know its bad.

Not yet but I know as soon as they start to get better we will start to feel. Its usually how it happens just when you are thinking ya no more sick kids you feel fine and it might skip you and boom your sick.
