My Marriage Memories - A sweet sour experience

February 22, 2017 1:00am CST
I was just going through some pics and came across my marriage pictures. My marriage you see started with a terrible note but ended up grandly. I had caught the chicken pox virus just 10days before my big day. . You can understand how devastated I was. Calling off the marriage was a costly affair and hence we did not prefer it. After talking to the doctors, we were convinved we can carry on with our preparations. I was put up on double dosages of antibiotics and steroids. My mom was very much beside me and my to-be husband was also very supportive. We carried on with preparations anxiously and never lost hope. Miraculously, on the wedding day all my crusts had started falling off in the morning. It was a great start to the day. My wedding was at night. My beautician had done an amazing job by covering up all the spots on my face. Needless to say my marriage went off smoothly after a rough ride. Anyone has such terrible or happy or mixed feeling marriage memories??

Some marriages begin well and end badly. I am happy that yours is still going smoothly after a rough beginning.

Had your chicken pox not treated dexterously and in time, it could have been very embarrassing for you on your D' day. Thankfully, I didn't have to face any such difficult situation before marriage. After marriage, it is another story.

@creativedesigner I can understand that you had to suffer physically and mentally before marriage but it is said - "All goes well, if it ends well" ......so once your marriage rituals ended successfully, you would have forgotten about your agony. After marriage - each one of us faces unimaginable and unforseen situations.

@dpk262006 i always get this statement from men. Don't you think you are exaggerating a bit. Women make yummy food to fill your tummies and take good care of the home so that you may live in peace. We need some good words dont you think???

I never had a man in my life so I guess I can't share anything about that kind of story. But yours is a very good one. And it only shows that true love conquers all. And those who never give up gets favors from God up there. Have a great day.

Yes it would have been different if the marriage was called off in the start itself. But glad i dint do that.
