BAD START TO MY DAY - NO INTERNET.

When I got up this morning I found that the internet service was completely gone - not only in my area - but in the town as well. For the next seven hours I felt like a fish out of water, because all of my plans for the day would involve using the internet - and I had no idea how big the problem was or how soon service would be restored.
Thankfully, it returned a short while ago, and I can now try to get ahead with some of my plans - which include of course - visiting Mylot and checking notifications, responses and posts.
Anyway, earlier when I was feeling very frustrated - an awful thought entered my head. What if there is a global disaster and the world is sent back to pre internet days? How would we cope? - Something to think about.

hmmm, i would not want to wish for that. if ever, maybe the satellite up there is 'grounded' and thus, doesn't receive messages?

I have a windup radio and so I would get the news so as to know what had happened. I have some friends nearby to get together with so to help one another deal with that shattering world event.

You sound like me. Every morning when I first sit down to my PC I hope that everything is good and that my dear PC with the fond name of Fred is working well.

I think it would be hilarious. Those of us who know how to grow stuff and build stuff would suddenly become important. The high tech bazillionaires would be helpless. I'd charge them $1000 per ear of corn. And $1,000,000 to build them a shed and outhouse. Buwaahaahaa!
Oh, sorry. Glad you got your internet back. I'd be frustrated without mine too.

That is a good question. What if? I will be missing my online friends and will have to start again what I did before there was internet. I would take another course to learn something new, visit the library again, writing with my typewriter, so on ....What about you?
