Is it easy for you to initiate a conversation with others?

I must say that I can easily make a conversation with others. I don't also go for being bold to prevent from scaring them away. I think making friends are not easy for some. Why? Because they put pressure on new people and trying to send messages every day. That's not an ideal way to initiate friends. Image Credit: pixabay.com

Before, i was really shy and reserve but then i realized that it is important to make connections! So right now, i'm being more approachable to others, and myLot is actually a great practice!

It is nice to hear that. We can be someone in certain time and place. I had improved my social skills by mingling with different sets of people.

Quite easy. Its not difficult for me most of the time. Depends who I am with as well. If I am out on my own I find it much easier to start up a conversation with someone. I chat mainly by e-mail and that is not a lot either.

@Shavkat Right on. Sometimes you can be with people and the words won´t come out whichever way you try. Say I have to phone somewhere Official I have to really think about that and relax specially if someone is trying to push me into doing it quickly. Situations can get you tongue tied and that is unusual for me.

I don't know, maybe yes but sometimes I think I'm a shy guy. Sometimes, its hard also to find a right topic for a kind of person you are talking with.

When I was in high school, I am a timid young lad. But then, my personality had changed during my college days. I could say that I am a late bloomer. I never talk much during high school days.

@Shavkat oh just like me, I'm a shy boy when I was in high school, and that's what my batchmates have known me. I work for communications but seems like I'm still shy boy.

It's all about the situation that we are in. we simply can't talk with somebody regardless of their/our situation. sometimes this might turn against us too. if we can understand the happenings in our surrounding well, then there is a great chance of gelling up with people.

I agree. As much as possible, we don't need to ask about personal things. They might feel off asking for personal details especially on first encounter.

It is easy for me to initiate conversation with guys than girls. Depends on the type of person mate. Not everybody is looking to participate in a conversation. We should identify people who want to and then choose to talk to them.:)
