Hello everyone.
We all have our fears and apprehensions. Some of the fears and apprehensions we share with others, while some of our fears keep travelling in our mind.
Do you also suffer from fear of unknown nature and keep it within yourself?
Do you feel that something bad is going to happen with you in future and how would you face it?

@magallon Yes, you are very right. However, you may come across some people who keep fearing about tomorrow, they do not think positively and fear that something adverse is going to happen with them the very next day, although most of their apprehensions do not come out true.

@dpk262006 In psychology, fear is only felt if you think that there is something to be feared of. How could a man fear something that is not known to him?

You appear to be very cool and mature and as you have seen many ups and downs in your life, you don't worry unnecessarily.
Don't worry, the dentist will take care of your dental health.

@JudyEv Yes, you have no fear of employer as you are retired.
How come your dentist looks 16 years old?

@dpk262006 We are retired so don't have the stresses of a working life. That helps too. And I'm only worried about the dentist because he looks about 16.

I have developed the art of what can't be cured has to be endured attitude. Having said that it automatically puts me in a situation where I am ready to face whatever that be.

@allknowing Yes, I completely agree with you that it is better not worry about unknown fears, as this kind of thinking does not help much. We should hope for the best but we should be prepared for the worst.

@dpk262006 If you give it a deep thought that is the best choice one has to leave peacefully. What can one do except be prepared if that is possible.

It is great to hear that you are exceptionally fearless and you are not afraid of anything.
I disagree with you that it could be termed as mental disorder.
You also fear about unknown fears sometimes but I am sure you are bold enough to overcome your fears.
I read in one of your comments that you are afraid of driving?

@Bodyandbrain It is great that you have high level of self confidence and you don't doubt your abilities.
As regards driving is concerned, you are very right that when we drive we keep thinking that we may not accidentally hit anyone, however I have experienced that if we remain absolutely alert and cautious, we could prevent accidents. Traffic is horrible in New Delhi and NCR and it is a big big challenge to drive safely.

Even I don't doubt my ability to face any fear.
Yes, you read right that I am afraid of driving, not because I can't drive but because I fear that I will kill someone.

None of us want to lose our near and dear ones and same goes with you. However, we should keep in mind that the one who has taken birth on this planet will ultimately complete his journey here, sooner or later, so we must be prepared for that.

@creativedesigner There are certain events which are beyond our control, therefore, it is better not to worry about those events.

I am the type of person who thinks about the future constantly. Sure I have my fears, but I realize I cannot let those fears overpower me . . . otherwise I will get too stressed out and for what . . . the future has not happened yet. Instead I like to stay productive so I can prepare for what may come in the future .. . being productive is better than sitting there in a cave wondering what will eventually happen.

It means that you fear for the fears of future but as as fears are unknown at present, therefore you do not allow your fears to over power you. We should not fear or apprehend about such things which may happen in future and on which we have no control as yet.
Yes, I agree with you that we should make arrangements, as far as possible, for any eventuality which may occur in future.

@dpk262006 There are some things in which we can control - and the rest, as they say, is up to the universe. Instead of fearing it, we should face it . . . but of course fear is natural and it will always be in our minds.

I know all there is to know, so there is no fear here.
No but seriously dpk, I do not often fear much.
Perhaps this is a fault of mine.
The only thing that would trigger fear mostly for me would be something happen to my son, gf.

You have gained so much experiences in life that you don't fear the fear and you are not afraid of anything. It is great on your part, I must say.
What makes you worry about your son and his girl friend?
