I enjoy that.
We tried some vegetables ourselves and i am so happy that it gives some yield.
even if a small quantity i find its really precious.
and watering them daily gives a refreshing feel.
We used to grow some tomatoes, cucumber, bitter gourd , beans , spinach, chilly .
Do u do this?

O live in an appartment but I have a very small balcony and I grow vegetables in pots out there in the summer.
Last year I had tomatoes, cucumbers radishes, lettuce, basil, sage, rosemary and even strawberries. It's great to go out and pick stuff and immediately make it into a salad!
Two years ago I also had runner beans but they grew too tall and did not produce many beans as they get too much sun there. It scorched them.

@sans224 Yes it is. It is not easy in pots on a small balcony though as they need watering every day. One day missed and the plants really suffer.

there is some capillary method thru which we can ensure enough water and save water too.

yes,. When I was back in my hometown we used to have a big backyard. I used to plant vegetables there. I can say that I enjoyed gardening and planting. And it made me feel really relaxed and good about myself especially when I see them grow and get to harvest them. :)

A long time ago I grow tomatoes, squash, beans, eggplants and other sort of green leafy veg. Then I switched to ornamental plants when someone gifted me different kind of cactus and orchids. Now, Im trying my hands on vertical gardening. And yes! I have a lemon tree now that is bearing fruit. It look sooooo cool!

@sans224 If it turned nice I'll post it here. You should try too. There are a lot of cute vertical gardening. Quite nice and I think much better because ants and other pest wont be able to reach them easy.

I have fresh fruit and vegetables year round. The weather is good for growing and enjoy picking different items. We had an unusual winter, so even picked blueberries.
