Hello my fellow Mylotters. Well, I am writing this post because I have come to a point where I cannot figure out what to write when it comes to just a regular post. I do write some short stories and poems as many of you know. . But for my everyday posts, I seem to be drawing a blank. That's why I am writing this. Maybe it depends on my mood, maybe I have become bored for some reason.
What I find myself doing sometimes when I am online, no matter what site I am doing at the time, I will just open up my Solitaire City app on my computer and start playing different solitaire games. I do that for about 15 minutes to an hour. Then I come back to the site I am on. Could it be ADHD? I don't know. I find this happening more often lately. It is frustrating.
Look, I don't mind playing a game of solitaire, but it would be better if I was just relaxing after I finished my posts, or whatever else I was doing. I love coming here to MyLot and being a part of this great site. Maybe I just lack the ability to write about everyday things. Also, my thoughts seems to be all over the place. Has this ever happened to anyone here?
I will tell you this though, I have been here and there lately. I have not been myself totally. And that is something that bothers me. I hope I did not fall off the writing planet. I don’t think I did. I do believe I can write more posts. I just need to think harder and find something interesting. You know, I think that’s it. I need to find a subject interesting in order for me to write about it. I will put forth the effort to do more posts.

This is a social site, you don't have to write about anything but your life if you don't want to. When it becomes an effort, it isn't fun anymore. Look out your window and tell us what you see, many people around the world are not seeing what you see.

I often find myself distracted by the proverbial squirrel. I think sometimes though, we try to hard to find "interesting" things, when often those on here are interested in the mundane, how people are doing, what they are doing, etc

@Jessicalynnt I have to agree with you. But I often wonder what the owners of the site really think. If they wanted this site to become more of a serious writing site than it is. Or they like it the way it is.

@inertia4 serious is ok here, sometimes, I do find this format is better for the mundane, with a sprinkle of serious now and then.

@1hopefulman Thanks. I got a little push in the right direction. But I still need more.

I have trouble thinking of things to write here too when it comes to every day things and lately I don't even have any imagination!
I tend to come up with some thing eventually but it isn't very popular.

I have an imagination, but that right now seems to have dried up some. I want to get that back full swing. I do have some content already sitting in my computer that was posted on Bubblews. But now that that site is gone I know I can tweak some of that content and post it here. And I should.

It seems we all leave the path from time to time. At least you are here! Many of us enjoy your posts and appreciate you being here.

@PatZAnthony Tell me about it. I was doing some other sites thing morning. Then I had a few things to do. So I couldn't spend too much time online today. But look, I do my best.

@inertia4 In the beginning I also tried to come up with something interesting. I noticed that something you judge good and interesting is not always well received by the others. So I do not stress anymore, I write simple discussions without thinking too much.

Sometimes you just have to say screw it and write about things like your shoes keep coming untied. I hate when that happens. lol

It happens to many people, sometimes we are creative enough to make new discussions and other times it feels better to take a step back from posting and just focus on commenting and responding to others. I hope you will find your creativity soon, maybe you need to get out of your comfort zone for a while and try something new. It will definitely give you new ideas to write about.

I have been searching for creativity, but nothing has popped up. I have one post in the works but I am not sure what site I will post it on. Although I can tweak it and post a different version of it here. Either way, I am struggling with the creative juices. I have been busy offline doing some things that need to be done around the house. And getting back into some vinyl record collecting. A thing I did for many years.

It seems it is your brains way of trying to tell you it wants and needs a distraction and break. Give in to it. Go play your games don't write a daily post just comment on other peoples posts and interact with them.
If you mind wanders go with it and see where it takes you. Jot down notes take pictures and later on put it all together. I am sure you will be very surprised to see what you find.
Our body has a very odd way of communicating with us and yours can't seem to focus when you want to write so don't force it. Go with the current and enjoy the journey.

I know you're right. And I have been doing just what you said. But still the mood seems to wane and I seem to lose interest quickly. And I know that is not me. It's funny though. I might lose interest but yet at the same time I want to write something. Like my mind is fighting itself.

Thanks. I think that is part of it. But there has to be more to it. I will figure it out. I always do. I am just going through a down time right now. At least that's what it feels like. I also have other things on my mind. So that is also a distraction.

Topics are sometimes very hard to get. In that case you go through some old photographs in your house and then I am sure you will get an idea for a good topic. Sometimes, we forget things which are right in front of us to write about.

Really. I never thought of that at all. I should try looking at some pictures from there. But I think I stress over having something real interesting to say. Maybe that is part of my problem. Maybe if I didn't stress over that so much I would be able to write more.
