Raising funds for wildlife
Co-director of Sheba Inu Dog Rescue and Placement
Labor Law attorney for the underprivileged
Teaching Law pro bono at the university
Running Mommy and Me classes
Opening her home for patients who have gone through late term abortion according to The New Yorker Magazine
Tutoring Chelsea Clinton in math while working in the White House
Bravo TV up and coming women under 30
Helping new mothers adjust to nursing
And the latest: Volunteering at a resettlement agency to find transportation, housing, and jobs for immigrants. I saw this on WNYC News.
Yes, that's my daughter-in-law, without the eyeglasses, in the photo. She's the mother of my ice princess granddaughter and budding scientist grandson.
I'm sure I can add to this list. I don't know how she finds the time, but I sure am proud of her!
Do you volunteer, too?

She's beautiful inside and out. I used to volunteer at the VA hospital before germ fears made it too hard. A friend of mine has a Sheba Inu. It is an interesting - cat-like dog

Your daughter in law worked in the White House? The only volunteering I did was what I was a teenager and had to do it for a senior project. I chose to volunteer at the hospital that about a year later I started working at. While my kids were at school this year I had planned to looking for ways to do some volunteering but then I had to start cyber school with my son so I did not get a chance to.

@much2say Most is done when the kids are in school. My son babysits in the evenings. Right now, he's in Dubai and her parents are in India. I guess she has to use her sitter more now. It's hard to be in more than one place at a time. My son lets her sleep on weekends. Lol!

She is a machine I think. This is not an ordinary daily routine. Quite extraordinary.

@DianneN I don't really get out and volunteer much.. but if an opportunity arises at work I'll try to help out. Last year I did a community clean up project through work...
I've done some things around our community and mostly through the school. Marching Band sort of forces us to volunteer, as do the sports boosters... so that's mainly what I do..
