Good morning friends! But is it? Really? Is morning really good? See, I'm not a morning person. I set my alarm for 7, hit the snooze until 8, now I've been up about an hour and I'm sitting here with my coffee wondering where my get up and go has gone off too. Now, at midnight last night I was wide awake, tossing and turning in bed because my internal clock thinks the evening hours are the hours to rock and roll. I TRY to be a morning person. I kind of have too since I'll be leaving for work again and I work with the public. The average american shopper doesn't care if their sales person is a morning person or not, they demand smiles. Its hard to conjure a smile before noon. I would like to be a morning person. It would be awesome if I could get up earlier and have more time at home before work. I just can't seem to get my motor started. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Do you know any tricks when it comes to being peppy and full of life in the mornings? (Image used from pixabay -

I do not understand morning people, no matter if I go to bed and sleep 10 hours, I am grump till I wake up. I have to be nice too in my line of work, whether The people are nice to me or not. Have a nice day Nona.

I have to be nice to people in my grumpy mornings too. I've been at it a long time though (as have you) and I'm pretty good at faking happy. Too bad I can't figure out the trick of being a real morning person.

@andriaperry I was as nice as ever and had a lady threaten to call corporate on me for being "Rude." Sometimes there's no figuring how someone's going to react.

I am a morning person. When I was young (before marriage) I used to get out of my bed at 7 AM, but my husband had the habit to get up at 6 AM. I had some hard months, but now I have the habit. We usually go to sleep around 11 PM.

My husband has to get up 6 or earlier for work. For a while after my dog had his surgery I had to get up at that time too. It almost killed me.

I have morphed into being a morning person as I got older.

I do look forward to my morning coffee. Want to get in a "coffee chat" habit here, having my first cup and posting about whatever is on my mind that morning.

I am more awake and alert at night, so tend to stay up way later than I should, even if I have to be up early the next day. But even if I go to bed I'm so awake at night its hard to sleep.

I am not as good at being a morning person now as I used to be. I still get up at five, because hubby cannot hear the alarm and that is when he wants to get up. I could sleep til seven and still make it to work on time.

You're a good wife. I'm not sure I'd manage to get up at 5 to get my husband up for work. Around 7 is when I usually get up too. Sometimes I reset the alarm to 8 if I dont have to be at work until 11 instead. Even then its a struggle.

I'm more of a morning person than a night owl. I get cranky at night when I'm tired. Lol. Coffee in the morning is a must for me.

I'm always more awake at night than in the mornings. I might be tired after a hard day of work, but not sleepy. In teh mornings I just want to go back to bed. Coffee is a must for me too. Second thing I do in the morning is make a cup. (First thing is feed the kids)

I like the morning - it is usually the most peaceful time of the day. I can no longer sleep late, if I am in bed at 7:00 AM on the weekends it is late. I got used to being up early because I used to have commutes that were an hour or more and I wanted to leave a little earlier to beat the worst of the traffic. There are no "tricks"....

No matter what time I get up, my kids sense it and get up too. No thing as "peace" once they are awake. Busy little boys. If left to its on devices my body wakes up around 10. That is what time I get up on the rare days where my husband and I are both off. I spent a year having to get up at 7 to get my oldest ready for school, but mornings never got any easier. Then hubby decided to home school and didn't have to get up as early.
