He was my shadow

Honesty is something that we are losing day by day in this so called modern world . Everyone is so busy running around to make money, and to most of them ,it doesn't matter how money is made, the goal is to make money. In an earlier post of mine, i wrote about a taxi driver from Istanbul and Vilnius and I guess few of them have read it . This time again I thought about writing a story about a taxi driver from sana, capital of Yemen. Visit to Yemen as a solo traveller was around 6 Years ago, when the country was quite "silent ". The journey happened after 3 years I intended to go, i had to wait to be confident to travel . Lot of great memories from there ,but now I am just writing down the story of my driver habeeb. The second night of my stay in sana , i made a wish to Habeeb, that I am keen to walk through the streets of sana alone and see life at night. But he strongly opposed me to do so. He said if I am so keen he might accompany me , but for some unknown reason at that moment I said not to accompany me and I said to him I will stay in my hotel room. After he dropped me , i got a quick shower and came down for a walk. After almost 2 hours of walking , i got lost somewhere and that frightened me a bit , empty streets ,no one to ask for directions, i whispered to myself I should have not done this all alone in a country that's not so " silent ". Walking down the street again ,i see a shadow that starts overlapping my shadow ,with intense fear and anxiety I turned back to see who it was, it was Habeeb. With great excitement and bit of shyness I asked him ,how did you find me ? He replied , " I was following you all the way, because it is not safe for a foreigner to walk alone at night". The Arabic word habeeb translates to friend in English , he deserves that name and infact he was my shadow.
