Dear Heart

Do you ever talk to yourself? Sharing with you my letter to my heart which I posted in my Facebook page late last year.
Dear Heart,
You don't deserve to feel this way. I know how heavy this load is and funny how it really is unnecessary. I want you to breathe it out. It is okay not to be okay I was told. So I guess I won't mind if you would want me to cry. Should I shout out loud? I know you want me to look strong but showing weakness is okay. It would not make me lesser of a person. I promise it's okay. The world is unfair. We are victims. But we will get through this. Let us stay strong after we have poured out our weakness.

Writing the letter helped me calm myself.

It seems a bright idea to write a letter to yourself and we are glad to hear that it helped you calm yourself.

It's therapeutic. I once did the same thing on my computer's notepad. I saved it on my desktop so i could see the files every now and then. i didn't reread them. Once i felt that it was time to delete a file, it means i'm already okay with whatever i wrote on there. That was the nicest part. It took me a while to delete some of them but they're all gone now.
I don't do journals anymore but once in a while i sit down and think about everything.

I have a notebook and I write there the things that are for my eyes only. That is really therapeutic.

We should always find ways to make ourselves happy. Nothing wrong with trying to make your heart feel better..

True. Aside from temporarily escaping, I found relief in writing to myself.

The one I shared above is the first and only conversation I posted on my FB page. I usually post my poems there.

@nottoooldtowrite It works very well for me. Writing our feelings is a good way to heal our heart if we can't talk about them to someone else.

Ok, we may also need to pat our back at times but not to the point that we get overly proud.

You should write down how you feel in a notebook or talk it over with someone.
