If you were a flower, what flower would you be?

United States

There are so many beautiful flowers. Some we love for their color, some we love for the fragrance. Some we love because they may have played a significant part in our lives. I am not bragging here at all, but I would be a rose. Not so much because of the fragrance or color, but because if you don't prepare the rose properly by removing the thorns you could get hurt. I'm been known to be a little biting in my day! At times I need to be handled with gloves to avoid getting hurt. But remove those thorns carefully and I'm beautiful and sweet smelling! To that end, what flower would you be? Photo from Pixabay.

Daisies are my favourite flower. I think the simplicity of a daisy is what appeals to me...I think I'll just be a daisy.

My best friend for 60 years - daisy was and still is her favorite - she carried a bouquet of them at her wedding.

I surely would be a wild violet, shy, trying to hide among my leaves, but strong. Always the first to show up after the bad weather.

That describes you perfectly! You are usually the first to be here, Besides shy I think you can be forceful when necessary.

@AbbyGreenhill I can be strong when it is needed. The violet is also the flower of my birthday month, February.

Hehehehe that's so smart to explain you choosing rose. I chose daffodils not because I am pure.. But because I want that person who will give it to me as the one who will complete me under God's blessing. Hehehehe God bless.

Daffodils are one of the early flowers to pop out of the ground, always something to look forward to.

When I read the title, a rose with thorns came into mind but that is already you so I got to think first.

I am the flower of my family, a blooming idiot. So now I have that out of my system, I must think hard on what flower I would be. Maybe a daisy of some sort, as it originally was called Days Eye. I am an early riser who loves to see the morning. Flowers have so many parts of my memory and sharing plants and flowers was one thing we did from generations on down.

Booming idiot - thanks for the smile I didn't know that about the daisey. My father's life work was agriculture but mostly vegetables so those are the thing he passed onto me.

I'm with you on the rose. I'm pretty thorny, although I at times smell more like the fertilizer than the flower. But, I think I'd also like to be a tulip - upright and straight, fragrant and frequently used as a homonym in romantic poetry. Plus. the Dutch would LOVE me!!

LOL - well said - and I would believe anyone from 'Jersey' would be a part time thorn (lived most of my life in that state)

That is an interesting similarity! I love rose, it is to me the most beautiful flower so, if I were a flower, I would be a rose and certainly my husband would agree.

@AbbyGreenhill ......That's a shame. They are a lovely bush. They don't last long though. I like all kinds of flowers. I don't think I am like any certain one. Daisies, Iris, miniature roses.

We don't see many lilac in the south, I guess it's too hot for that plant.

I love it... I'm not sure what i'd be as I don't know enough about flowers, but I think I would like to be a daisy of some kind ..., or a dahlia, strong and bright, (not intelligence wise but, happy, cheerful)
