A friend of mine told me that she is not ready to go grey yet! The grey hair has arrived but my friend is a bottle blond. I tried light streaks once when the grey began to show but I have let the grey take over now.
I would not drscribe myself as ready for it though.

I accept wrinkles, but I just canĀ“t accept grays hair. I go to see a cousin who is a beautician and she takes away from me 10 years

There are harmful chemicals in hair dye - so the lighter the better and blond I am told is the safest color to choose,

@41CombedaleRoad I have to say that I like my grey hair, my husband also has grey hair and I would surely not appreciate if he decided to dye it. Most men who dye their hair look ridiculous, but I have to say the same for some women.

@LadyDuck She should be proud of it and grateful for a long life. But I am sure you have told her that.

@41CombedaleRoad My mother has dyed her hair from many years and now she has a large bald patch. Finally I have convinced her to keep her hair white, I think that at 96 she should not care about white hair.

My hair never really went grey. It is silvery white. A big patch on the one side in the front.

@41CombedaleRoad ....Isn't it interesting? My white patch is on the same side of the head where I got hit in two accidents.

@celticeagle My friend had white patches of skin, some on her hands and some on her scalp, The hair was white that grew on those patches - she had black hair with white streaks - it looked very attractive.

Some people are lucky that way. My best friend, the same age, has hardly a grey hair to be seen and has remained with nice brown hair. My daughter is still very brown at an age when I was becoming salt and pepper....

As long as Clairol keeps making it, I'll keep using it!

That's a lovely advert for the young at heart to think about. It is obviously keeping you young and attractive.

@41CombedaleRoad Well, it helps me look a little younger, but feeling it's a different matter!

My son's wife went white very early but she was a natural blond and I must say that I did not really notice the change until she pointed it out.

I am 23 and already starting to go gray. Im just going to let it happen. Genetics are funny, huh?

I guess genetics do play a part although previous comments do mention the part that stress plays. When I think how black Obama was and how grey he is now I am compelled to think that stress does play a part regardless of genetics.

My wife used some blonde tints for a few years, but is now a natural grey. None of us is ready to age I suppose.

Blond tints are a good way to put off the inevitable I suppose. I am sure that you have assured her that she is a beautiful natural grey. I think your colour suits you from looking at your photo.

I am not ready to go grey just yet. I took after my dad and was grey at a very young age so I keep it blond now. My natural color is dark brown but it is so hard to keep that color with my hair being so grey.

Many of the TV personalities here are blondes, not natural ones, the Greeks are mostly very dark haired so I suppose they go grey quickly. It surprises me to see how few of them worry about the dark roots. When I was young dark roots were never allowed to grow long enough to be seen.

the grey appears when a person is old or when you start getting a *lot* of knowledge and whenever you start to stress out.
That's my info. on when the gray appears

I was interested to read your 'info' and now I am wondering if you can suggest some ways of avoiding the causes?
