Have you ever had a part-time job?

March 11, 2017 5:37pm CST
Many people find that working part time doesn't mean much because they are usually vacant called "sub-jobs" with not very significant salaries. Then, because there is a certain prejudice with this type of work, many people end up waiting to have a "regular" job. I think this type of thinking is totally invalid and nonsense because all kinds of work experience is valid (whether good or bad).

I've never had one before. I was always employed full time. I do think though that any part time jobs should be included in someones resume. I guess it's not about the salary or the status but what matters is the expertise and/or the experience.

Yes I had a part time job and it was not good because I began to like the place until they let me and another girl go and said they were not going to pay us our comissions then me and her went to the bank to cash our checks to find out there was no money int he account! Needless to say we were not leaving that bank until they paid us! They finally did! It was like a night mare! They were trying not to pay us but they finally did!

Here many part time jobs pay better because they don't provide benefits they can afford to pay more per hour. So if you just want to make a little extra money, they are perfect.

Who knows where a part-time job might lead? In the meantime you are learning skills and will have something to put on your resume.

When I was a college student, I had a part-time job and I was a tutor for a high school boy. After I graduated from college, I had the full time job and I don't have other jobs.

A job is a job, whether it's full-time or part-time. I don't think it should matter how many hours you do. At the end of the day, the person is working.

I guess I am a hard working person. I had tried some part time job aside from working in a regular job before. I do some documentations in some government agencies. I think there is nothing wrong in having part time stunts.

A job it a job, take it no matter what the hours are. You always apply for better WHILE you are working.

When my children where younger, I had a part time job which was very helpfull. On one side, I helped financially at home and, on the other side, I had time to care off my children. The working hours were during the morning. I left them at school, went working and, when I finished work, it was time to pick them up. For me, it was a great experience.

I had several part time jobs which were businesses started up by me. Extra money is always good when you need it.
