How far is the nearest beach from your home?
I used to live very near a beach. It was just a 10 minute walk. When I moved a thousand kilometres from my previous home, the new home is in the middle of mountains. Very picturesque, with a very big man made lake and a river nearby.
I still like taking walks on sandy beaches as it exfoliates the bare feet and the sea water does wonders to the foot.
I now drive at least an hour and a half just to go to the beach. I like to go at least once a month if weather and time permits.
Do you like walking on the beach? How far is the nearest beach?

@vickyrose Switzerland has different beautiful lakes. I am not a fan of the beaches and I do not care to go to Italy to go to the beaches.

I see. That's an information to me. But Switzerland has a lake or a river? A 3 hours drive to Italy is not bad, new country and a beach.

We are too far from the beach here. A 10 minute walk or drive to get to the sea would be nice.

@vickyrose Isn't it odd how we humans seem to avoid the beauty around us? When we were near the beach we didn't go often.

@PatZAnthony that's so true, now that I've retired and enjoy nature, I wished I paid more attention to the it's beauty around me when I was younger

It was nice. However, when I lived near the beach, I was too busy to even walk there regularly ;)

We are surrounded and need to drive or ride a few miles. There is a breach resort close by. I had entertained my guests there over lunch a couple of months ago.

I can understand. We now have to travel for at least 2 hours to go to the beach. But we have a lake.

I love being at the beach too. It's just such a refreshing experience, which is necessary with our busy lives. But, I haven't been to one in agaes. You're lucky to have a beach that close to your home. (Far, yet close in comparision).

I am a bush person now too. I was born in the middle of a mountain. There's a small river nearby, good to be near water.

I love walking on the sand beach. We have beaches all around us. The nearest would be about a five minute drive if that.

The nearest beach is on a lake, and I think it's about 40 miles away. Though often crowded and dirty so I avoid. I hope you get to go to the beach more.
