I did not have a special impression, until recently I listened to the Chinese music I chose to go with the Chinese painting in a photo set. They go precisely with perfect match.

Thanks you! Nowadays, the youngsters express their feelings with pop songs, which has become one of the effective ways for foreigners to learn Chinese.

Not sure what you're saying. Do you like Chinese music? Does it really have lots of pentatonic scales (the black notes on the piano) in it?

Maybe not so compound as the western music, which I like very much esp. given by quality bands. Still it can present all kinds of feelings from high to low. thanks for responding.

@zhuhuifen46 I think Chinese music probably has more pentatonic scales than Western music. But I'm not sure. Here's a song I recorded. I hope you like it. It's very Western.

Chinese painting is quite different from the western painting. We focus on "emptiness". You won't see that there are a lot of stuff in a Chinese painting. Even it can just use one color to finish a painting. It is simple but it is also vivid.

Yes, it can present different level of black to make a good painting. There is also the colored chinese painting, usually with little red or green to go with the scenery.
