You've heard the saying, "a dog puts his nose to the ground" haven't you? Well it appears that Tantrum (probably appropriately named), did just that and traveled from New Mexico to Omaha, Nebraska. I don't know if Tantrum (lab/pit bull mix) sat at the side of the road with his paw out flagging down a ride or not, but he made the 843 mile journey in two years. The humane society picked him up as a stray and when they scanned him for a microchip and found where he was from; they were shocked. Tantrum is now scheduled for a flight back home. Talk about adventurous; or maybe he was just having a Tantrum!!
Nebraska Humane Society Animal Control picked up a stray lab/pitbull mix in Omaha on February 26.

I can't imagine why he would want to 'wander' that far @Fleura .

Quite a journey. If he could talk he would be on all the shows telling his story.

@nanette64 I do agree on that. I was thinking how can he survived such a journey. Canine has their own way.

It is nice that Tantrum is being returned to his home. Wonder what he was after that he went so many miles!

@nanette64 Maybe! Too bad he can't tell us. Wondering if someone picked him up somewhere and drove him-

I don't know unless he was running away like a typical teenager @PatZAnthony .

That is great news that he is on his way back home. What an experience it must have been for him. I hope he is ok and no one hurt him.
