This bird is a native to Southern Asia especially India. It's species can also be found in North America,Australia,South Africa,Fiji and New Zealand. Well in India there is a myth that if you see one myna bird then you have bad luck on that day and if you saw two myna birds together then that day brings you good luck. Though people don't take it seriously but when I was in school we use to take it seriously as the area where my school was,you can frequently see these myna birds. And the funny part is that whenever I use to see two birds together I used to be very happy because of me getting some good luck but when I saw one myna bird then I was like "Who gives a damn to these myths, be logical". Is there any myths you know in your culture?

Knock on wood for good luck, never really works though. Break a mirror and get seven years bad luck. I've never broken one, so I don't believe it either as my bad luck is left unexplained. And because of my pirate ancestors on one side and what I've witnessed from the other, I would hae to say, "Drinking kills you slowly" is a myth for us. At least I hope so, then again I'll still do my best not to break any mirrors.

There are a lot of superstitious beliefs in my country. Young generations don't pay attention about it anymore.

@optimisticbeauty If someone is eating left on the table, the members cannot dish out the plates. If they do, the person who is still eating will not be able to get married.

Mostly all cultures have some myths and superstitions which differs world wide and it is up to people to believe it or not. I won't usually consider these myths but some of the myths do have scientific reason behind them.
