I mean inspiring as any music that is inspiring and relaxing that can boost you imagination to write stories and features. I am now, listening to relaxing instrumental music of Japanese while writing short story that I want to entry in one of the writing contest in our country. I want to hear some soothing music to boosts the pulses in my brains. I hope I can write an imaginative words good for the story. Sometimes, I do listen to rock songs because even these songs are good motivator to me. Anyway, its all depends on my mood. And now my mood is to listen to soothing and relaxing instrumental music of Japanese. I think this is working as the keypad of my computer never stop.

that is good; but for me, i tend to write more and better topics when it is noisy. when i was reviewing during my college years, i preferred reviewing with loud noises; i tend to sleep when listening to background music that is soft-it lulled me to bed.

Well, I am used to any sounds. I can still work without any distractions. It keeps my mind boggling into something.

If I choose to listen to music while writing, I will usually listen to Christian music, or something else out there that lifts my spirit to carry on.

I do not listen to any kind of music while writing something. My mind could concentrate one thing at a time.

I listen to music if I need an idea for my book. Slow and romantic music for romance, fast tracks for fight. I type really fast during that time too.

You should check out that infographic. it talks about how music (binarual beats) have healing properties. The solfeggio frequencies are the natural frequencies of the planet and can be found everywhere in nature and they even connect to the frequencies of emotions! I usually listen to some of them when I work, write, sleep, exercise. Such an energy booster

My best poems were written while I was listening to eminem. I listen to alot of music that makes my fingers write words and emotions down on a paper or on my computer. You are right they are motivators.
