if someone is planning to get into a serious relationship what are the Do's and Dont's so that he / she can continue to be in the relationship for longer, and can avoid the silly breakups? What you guys think?
I need to suggest to one of my good friend, so thought to start this discussion.

Do: be honest (don't say anything if you don't want to lie), accept the other for what he/she is (if you want to change that person, you need to be patient as it might take longer than you think), love him/her by doing things for him/her (not just talk), only have eyes/feelings for one another, discuss about big and small issues, make him/her know how important he/she in your life....
There should be more....
This is only between the 2 of you, if you live together with family, you need to be fair as well... Very complicated..

@subhajitsil6 No problem at all. The first few years of marriage usually are very hard. One has to learn with another person with different personality.
As for lying. Yes, I believe there are things we have to lie, but if she/he finds out later on, he/she will not believe her/his partner later on.

@atoz1to10 The lie should be said if needed in such a manner that never ever they get caught. And I understand specially for arrange marriages some scarification needs to be made.

@atoz1to10 To some extent lies are necessary to keep a relationship healthy? Won't you accept this fact?
And about the patience part I understand it is very much necessary. But I must say you thing your response is something which i can directly forward to my friend, and with your valid permission I would love to do so.

Hi! Just to share my experience, I've' been in a relationship for almost 9 years. It was quite hard to say that there are rules or something to keep you two together. Sometimes, you just learn from the mistakes that you do. One thing that really matters is TRUST and LOVE. Without trust you cannot love someone truly. And without Love just a simple issue or wrong doing could break the relationship. Have a great day ahead!
