I have no idea what the smell, the texture and the taste of the tapioca, made by cassava. I am curious about the main food in Nigeria, cause it looks a bit more like sweet potato in my country.BTW,I like sweet potatos pretty much .So is the
cassava have any relationship with sweet potato?or something more.

It is like sweet potato but more firmer. In some countries they just boil and steam it. I prefer grounding it and use it for making brazilian cheese bread and filipino cassava cake.

@Janice2017 Kind of tasted like sweet potato but chewier and blander. I prefer using it on making breads or desserts than eating it on it's own. It being bland though make it useful for many recipes.

@Janice2017 I have researched in the meantime and I have read that tapioca is used in puddings because it is colorless, tasteless, and odorless, but it is an alternative to use gelatin.
