A great friendship that has come to an end.

April 2, 2017 10:54pm CST
Today wasn't a good day for me... A few days ago I posted a topic talking about apologizing when you're not wrong ... because that was my dilemma for a few days. But today everything came to an end, along with a friendship of long years. The friend with whom I had some problems (in fact, the problems were mutual) decided that he doesn't want to talk to me any more. The decision came soon after I tried - once again - to fix things. The feeling sucks, but life goes on. Have you ever experienced anything like this? The loss of a friendship?

As much as it hurts right now relationships come to an end for a reason. Some people are only meant in our lives for a season. I just went through this not long ago, it hurt but I had to realize what I'm telling you.

I am sorry to hear this. I have had the that happen a few times over the years and yes it hurts but you will get through it. There in not much you can do if the person chooses not to talk to you anymore. You did all you could do to save the friendship and in the end the friend decided to walk away. Take the time you need to mourn the lost friendship but then move on.

Most often than not, it's money or same love interests that destroys good friendship

I am sorry to hear about your friend. Sometimes we have to move on from a friendship or relationship that doesn't work any more. I have lost friendships yes, but as I grow up, I am making great efforts for my long time friends and they do the same so we have managed to keep our friendships alive.

I have some friends that we never talked anymore. Betrayal is the culprit that makes the relationship bitter to each other. But still, my life goes on without them.

Yes, but sometimes when the person just isn't treating you right you have to let them go. It's never easy, but sometimes it's for the best.

Only one friend that was saying mean things to my great grand children. I was better off ignoring her.

I know that feeling very well...my friend wants to keep distance from me and also says everything is good between us...I mean if you want to keep distance how come everything is good...It hurts like hell to think about my friend not talking to me...I am trying to mend things but according to him there is nothing wrong to mend but again he's not normal as he was before...so decided to have some self-respect and stopped trying to mend things...but I really miss him

Yeah I have felt it in my school days. My childhood friend left my friendship for a new comer girl. She had no reason to break up with me but still she did. But now things have changed with time, she is my friend again. Don't worry its all matter of time once they realize the loss they will revert back to us.

Yeah with my best friend. We got some misunderstanding which leads to end of friendship. I was made an apology but it didn't works. But now we talk to each other and try to maintain it as previous days. But I think after some years the issue may be fixed because we are getting more mature day by day that make us wise.

I have and it does stink. Unfortunately a twenty year friendship when down the tubes because of a misunderstand. I decided that life goes on and it must not have been as strong a friendship as I thought it was.

Yes, this has happened to me. Not once but twice. But like you said life goes on. People change feelings change. Changes are a part of our life. We should learn to embrace it.
