So Glad We Had This Time Together...

For some reason out of the blue that song is stuck in my head today. I keep singing it over and over again. I realize the younger people on here may not recognize it or even know who Carol Burnett is but it was the sign off song that she sang at the end of every show. I loved that show. It was so funny and just plain silliness. I use to watch it with my mom and dad.
So that got me thinking of all the theme songs from the various TV Shows that we still know word for word even after the show has long ended. The ones I can think of off hand are "Movin' On Up" from the Jeffersons, The Brady Brunch theme song, The Sesame Street theme song "Can You Tell Me How To Get to Sesame Street", Friends, "I Will Be There For You" and The Spideman Theme Song.
So what are some theme songs that you have etched in your mind forever?

I always loved the Carol Burnett show and that is a theme song I'll always remember. I know it doesn't have any words but Bonanza comes to mind. How about Friends and Cheers?

Egad, don't make me think of them—they have intense earworm potential. However, currently I'm trying to memorize the lyrics to The Big Bang Theory.

I cannot think of all of them now but the ones that stand out are Happy Days, Welcome Back Kotter and who could forget this due
the opening credits for All in the Family staring Carroll O'Connor followed by the opening credits for the spin off show Archie Bunker's Place.

If I heard any on a regular basis, I'd be able to tell you, but we gave up our cable for the tv sometime last fall and I've not watched sitcoms for even longer ago than that, so I've no clue right now. I was watching Grey's anatomy until Christmas last year, but I've no idea whether they had the same one for each episode or whether it was different for each situation.
For some reason, I didn't particular like the Carol Burnett show, but that why they have so many to choose from to please all of us.
I'm thinking Gilligan's Island probably had one we'd remember, and maybe Bewitched, I dream of Jeannie, and I just forgot another one on the outreaches of my memory. What those songs were though, I'd have to look them all up.
What would/could be fun was if someone put together either the soundtracks or the songs themselves for a slew of shows that were popular, then we could all see who'd be the first to come up with matching the song with the show.

A lot of them were from when I was wonder. I don't know too many of the news ones or if shows even have theme songs now.

there are so many and they never leave you. Once you know the words you never forget them. I know for some young adults it would be the Barney Song

hmmm, old songs for me. but one song that became my favorite, and which my son acknowledges, is "when you say nothing at all" by Ronan Keating, the soundtrack of Nottinghill.
