As wonderful as myLot has been sharing my own Family stories, i never envisioned i would run into another family member here! So when @jstory07 sent me a message asking if my name was Christopher Bergstrom and from Buxton, Oregon, and has i did a AncestryDNA test, i said yes!! and When Judy said her maiden name was Wykle, i about fell out of my chair!!!
The Wykle family name is one i have spent alot of years researching in fact my Great Grandmother was very close to many of her Wykle first cousins, including Jack Wykle, who happens to be Judy's dad. So after private messaging for a few days, and chatting about our fellow Wykle family members, i asked if it was ok i shared our connection on here and after some hesitation she gave me the ok.
This photo is of the Wykle Family all gathered together for the marriage of the eldest child Myrtle Wykle to her husband Carmel Edward Hartman, Myrtle and Carmel are my Great Great Grandparents, and parents of my Great Grandma Martha Hartman Smith someone my brother has wrote about quite a bit on here.
Myrtle is seated center, and the little boy on the right Plennie Wykle is Judy's Grandpa and Plenny is the youngest child, and as Judy told me he was named Plennie because Martha Ann Rambo Wykle thought she had plenty of children!!!

@chrissbergstrom Edith Wykle was not her baby. One of the daughters had Edith. Aunt Nellie told me that family secret and I got in trouble for telling it to others. Oh well.

@chrissbergstrom I figured coming to Oregon I would find more of my mother's relatives since Wilsonville, Oregon was named after by great grand father Charles Wilson.

That's interesting. I don't know if I would want to find any relatives I didn't know I had. I'm a pretty private person and not very sociable, so if they're out there, I probably wouldn't be interested in getting acquainted anyway. (Unless they were rich, LOL!) Supposedly we have some distant cousins out in California, but I don't know anything about them.

@chrissbergstrom That's true, I guess. I'm a terrible introvert, I'm not good at making friends.

Yes her dad and my Great Grandma would be first cousins, so she would be 2nd cousins to my Grandpa, so i would be her 2nd cousin two times removed.

@chrissbergstrom David Kennedy has found over 50,000 Wykle's on a cd that he send me. Each one of them had over 12 children.

How crazy to find a relative on myLot like that!
I have a somewhat similar story from the early days of the site... I made friends with a user here who lived pretty close to me. (Back then, myLot had a feature that let us see all of the users who had registered in specific towns.) Anyway, we lost contact after several months for some reason, and then a year or so later one of my friends introduced me to her new roommate. After hanging out for a few weeks, we started discussing some of the ways we were making extra money, and realized we'd known each other for even longer than she'd known my friend.
It really is a small world, isn't it?
