Day 209
Proverbs 20:15
Proverbs 20:15 There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.
There are some people you love to listen to. They are knowledgeable in the area that interests you most, and you could listen by the hour to them.
Solomon called those people precious jewels, more precious than actual jewels or gold.
God calls those who serve him, jewels.
Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the LORD spoke often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.
17 And they shall be mine, said the LORD of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him.
God listens to everything you say, and even your tears are put in a bottle, because they are precious to him and come before him as the evening sacrifice.
Psalm 56:8 Thou tell my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
9 When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
When someone cares that much about you, you listen to what they say.
Even the disciples listened to everything Jesus said.
John 6:67 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? Thou hast the words of eternal life.
And then there was Martha who urged Jesus to make Mary help serve the meal.
Luke 10:38 Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
39 And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus’ feet, and heard his word.
40 But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? Bid her therefore that she help me.
41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
42 But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
When it comes to the words you speak, you need to be mindful that other people will stop and listen. Will they consider your words valuable and sit and listen, or will they walk away as though you had nothing important to say?
Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
When you speak with wisdom and knowledge, people will listen to you and consider your words to have more value than precious jewels.
Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. (KJV)
Let this simple prayer of David be your prayer and people will always consider you have something worth listening to.
Let’s pray: Father, let my words be filled with knowledge of you, and let me show wisdom and grace in what I say. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen.

Good Morning and may many blessing be bestowed upon you as you give everyone of us wonderful thoughts to ponder on while you share your love of the Lord. Especially meant for me today: Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
