Good afternoon.running a bit late here.Today is my day to make banana bread for the homeless.I was think I was wondering what happens when we cry? They tell us when we cry we get rid of the toxins If the cry is emotional tears it release an endorphin this is supposed to relieve the pain and also improve our mood. Help to reduce stress there are so many reason why we cry. Some feel good.Get rid of the toxin? Crying is healthy. Have a good afternoon.Stay dry. How many remember Johnny Ray "Cry"
This is the record that catapulted Johnnie Ray into the stratosphere of the big musical stars, and became his signature song. It was recorded October 16, 195...

I think women cry easier than men do you? I'm not a crier by nature but I can be reduced to tears if something emotional hits me

I have glaucoma and crying can raise IOP (intraocular pressure), that is something that I must avoid. No crying for me, not even when I feel the need to cry.

@amadeo @Daljinder Yes, it's hard and not every time I can hold my tears. When it happens, I rush to put my eye drops as soon as I stop to cry.

I find that crying is like purging myself of the sadness that has built up inside of me. I am told that I cry easily, but sometimes it is out of happiness.

@KristenH the bread came out good.I found a way and hear how to ripen bananas fast.Put it in a brown bag. I do this with tomatoes not banana. It does work. Now I will by a bunch and do this and let them sit.The bread is better with ripened bananas

Crying is one of the healthiest thing a person can do to their body! I remember learning about this in junior year. That is when I started learning that emotions are so important and holding in stress and sadness, will only hurt someone more than crying. Because crying cannot hurt someone at all...unless it is like that really ugly cry that hurts your throat...but that is besides the point haha! The sun feels warmer, the world feels different, your thoughts are more clear when you cry. It is great

I have never heard this song before. I do not like it when I hear it the first time, but by the second time, it is captivating. I am not a person to cry. Probably that is why I always have to use eye wash and eye drops!

I hadn't heard about the release of endorphins--thanks! I see crying as "healthy regression." It's how we expressed ourselves as babies. It's an honest expression of how we feel as adults sometimes.

When I have cried I do not believe it helped because the problem was still there but I released something inside of me that had to come out. So in a sense it was good to cry.

Sometimes I get the urge to cry and I don't know why but I always feel better afterward. I won't be sad, happy, or anger just content and needing to cry so maybe it is healthy to just get it all out sometimes.
