Does a bad haircut upset you?

I went to a new hairdresser yesterday as my regular one was out of town. i told him my preferences but the guy cut my locks way too short for my liking. I had pretty long hair and i loved them, and now they are very very short. It made me so upset. Though it doesn't look bad and gave a new look to me but i miss my long ones :( My hair grows pretty slow and will take me years to reach that length again. Have this ever happened to you? What to do in such case?

Yeah, i did. It would have been so unfair if i did not. But i told him i was upset and he apologized.

I told the stylists to cut only 2 inches. Gosh! My hair cut off until my shoulder. That was 2years ago.

What happened with you is really sad. It could happen if we change our barber because our regular barber knows our needs and preferences but the new one may not know. It is better not to take any chance with a new barber. It has happened with many on some occasion, therefore, I do not change my barber.

It's okay with a man, your hair grows back pretty faster. I will take really long to have them again. I regret changing the dresser very much!

@shaynas It depends upon from person to person, not necessarily that hair of men grow quicker than women. Don't worry, your hair will grow in due course of time, till such time you could enjoy your new outlook. No need to regret as the hair dresser cannot re-fix your hair and he has no 'undo' option with him, like we have in computers.

Happened with me on many occassions. When the lafy asked me if I liked the haircut I couldnt say now but when I came back home i started crying

I hate bad haircut. I wear caps all the time if do have. That will make my day very bad.

Yes, that happened to me before. The hairstylist cuts it shorter than what I told him. I really told him I didn't like that he did that to me and never ever go back at that hair salon.

As a young man, I would feel upset. But I will accept it. Hair can still grow.

It hasn't happened to me but it wouldn't be such a catastrophe for me as my hair grows fast. The last question is funny. What to do? You either learn to enjoy the new look or buy a wig.

My hair growth is really slow, and that makes me more sad about it. With what to do i meant. if there is something i can do to make them grow back faster.

Yes it makes me very mad when they mess up my hair.. I went in one day to get a pin wheel done with different colors and they messed up so bad it looked like the dropped paint on my hair in big spots.. I was so mad I never went back and I have to get it fixed that took about four hours but it came our very good.

You must look terrific, even though you are not used to it. My stylists know what and what doesn't look good on me, so I trust them better than I trust myself.

I don't know how you can make your hair grow faster. It is very annoying and upsetting if a hairdresser doesn't follow your wishes.

i feel you :( Been there done that. and hated it obviously, but temporarily. The trick to not getting a bad haircut (specially from a new place/person) is to be extremely conscious about each step your haidresser takes with you hair. Also, please keep in mind, you are always, always supposed to tell him to cut less again and again specially when he shows you how much he is going to cut off before actually doing it.
