Is supporting a friend's music OK on MyLot? I play guitar and bass on this track!

My friend Debbie sings a lot of French music around the Bay Area, but she fell in with a bad crowd (those of us who play bluegrass music) and now heads a Western Swing band that I'm in. It's called the Diablo Rhythm Wranglers, and we've gotten kind of popular in the East Bay of the Bay Area.
Debbie recently recorded an album, and I play on a bunch of the songs. We went into a really nice studio in Marin, and laid down the tracks. On this one, Debbie sings, I play guitar and bass, and Maria plays fiddle.
For some reason, Vanny and DJ have had their mojo working, posting some of my solo stuff to YouTube. One of my songs has almost 2000 views! But Debbie's stuff hasn't gotten as many views for some reason. If you're feeling kind, give this a listen and maybe leave a nice comment, if you can comment to YouTube.
And hey, you get to hear The Horse use his big clunky hooves on bass and guitar!

I like it, but I love the fiddle! Although I listen more to rock and the like I do like bluegrass and I have a banjo that I am learning to play. I did listen, like and comment.
Now lets see a youtube of your solo.

Here's Debbie's version of my Mark Twain song. It's actually on her album. Note that she totally changed the melody and made it sort of Joni Mitchell-like. I like both versions--hers and mine. Hers is more sensitive," while mine has more "drive."

I fully agree with you...you are "bad crowd"... Promoting is just fine I think provided it is done with the right kind of content like this one which calls for more interaction than merely visit to the link. :) Hope GAA clarifies though. I am hoping @topffer arrives here and helps us learn how to monetize such links. :)

I see many YouTube videos shared here. I see no reason why you can't.
Some one set up a GoFundMe for my niece who has Zellwiger syndrome....I've been wondering if that is okay to share as a attachment. Obviously....it would not be a.....hey....throw some money their way kind of post. Maybe some people no on Zellwiger syndrome and leaving the look with it. Thoughts?

That would be a question for @GoAskAlex, wouldn't it? I'm really not sure. I'm assuming that sharing a YouTube video is OK, as people do it all the time. Are you able to access the video I linked? Some have said they can't see in in their Country, but I'm not sure where they're from.

@Morleyhunt Oh, let us know what you find out. Of course, I also tagged GoAskAlex in my other comment. Maybe he'll provide some insight here. There are links to some of my own stuff in the comments here. You should be able to see those. You're from Canada? I hope more US people respond. Maybe it's a US thing.

Either the video is set to private or the location is restricted to a particular country. Just change things in the settings. It will work for all.
And yeah A Moth song one has been more popular than others.

Trust you...to come here and let him know the solution. I thought the same. Anyway, Pony wants to monetize that song (moth song to begin with then may be Pancho and Lefty and Susy though the latest number he has is going to beat all others hands down). I intend to wait for a couple of songs as then it becomes easier for folks to identify him easily or look for his songs..kinda. Then monetizing will have better rewards I feel.

I'll let Debbie know. She lived in France for many years and speaks fluent French. I'd think she'd want people from other Countries to see it.
I think Moth Song was the first one Vanny posted. That might explain why it's ahead of the others. Pancho and Lefty is a pretty well-known song, so my hunch is that it will "take the lead" in a few months.

As I have said I don't watch videos - it drains my internet time! Plus, even though my BIL has a bluegrass band, I don't care for it...sorry....
The couple who bought one of our previous homes was big time blue grass star - maybe just in his own mind, but he made mandolins so he was really into it.

@TheHorse Mitch Corbin. He supposedly was the star of shows in FL when he moved to TN he was part of the act at the Dixie Stampede. He has all kinds of albums. I found a bunch of stuff about him while searching.
