Hurt my back

Banks, Oregon

It's pretty bad when at 30 years old I am walking around with shooting back pains I think it is mainly from sleeping on the couch and not being as active going to try and stay walking everyday as this just is not fun at all....

I'm 24 and ive had bad back pain since I was around 22. Lol. From sleeping on a stupid futon at my boyfriends off and on for over a year. Worse decision ever. Hope you can take the pain away with ice or heat.

Little stretches. Lift your legs to your knees gently, stretch, strengthening your stomach as you do that cause that strengthens the back. You know why I know so much about bad backs.

I've started training. In June I will be walking the 13 km across the Confederation bridge...my goal....2 hours or less. Today I walked 3 km and averaged 10 minutes per km.

I am six foot si and since I am so tall my back always hurts me. The best thing to do is to keep moving by walking every day.

I hope you will feel better. It is quite frustrating to have the back pains. Did you try to do anything to heal it? I think swimming will be a good idea.

Yes, back pain is the worst! Every time you move it hurts! You have inflammation in your muscles and joints if your back hurts so either take some Motrin (generic to save money, it's called Ibuprofen) or Ginger capsules you can get at Walmart for about $4 a bottle. Take two Motrin then one every four hours so keep the inflammation down. If you stop when it feels better and you're still sleeping on the couch the inflammation will come back and you'll have to start all over again. After a day or two you can cut down to every 6-8 hours. I forget what the dose of ginger is but it's completely harmless, all natural, and very good for your whole body. I hope you feel better soon!
