I haven't made it. Hoping to get enough tomatoes from my garden to can lots of jars this year. Its a great way to save money.

No, we have not. We did find a Farmers market here in the area though that makes their own Kraut and we are planning on getting a few the next time we are in that area if we can afford too.

i guess it's similar to our atchara, which is pickled shredded green papaya, but the taste is sweet and sour. it's usually paired with fried, grilled or roasted food.

@andriaperry I cannot say that it is my favorite food and I think we had sauerkraut twice during the whole winter. I can live without it if they were not sold.
