Answering Others Comments

I have noticed that this has become the norm for "some" people. And I am not sure if they actually know what to do on mylot.
For instance : I rented a very nice house to these two ladies, both are slightly mentally retarded and when I went in to inspect the house I was slammed with how filthy it was, I told them to clean it up, I went back a couple weeks later and the bath tub was still gross. I asked the one to clean it and I would be back the next day. I did come back and it was .... still the same. I asked " I thought you said you cleaned it?" she told me she poured bleach on it but it wont come clean.
That was the ding ding moment, no one ever showed them HOW to clean a house.
I told them I would come back the next day and bring stuff to clean it.
The next day I had the younger of the two get down on HER knees after I put a generous amount of comet cleaner in the tub, I handed her a scrub brush and told her to gently scrub the tub.
It came clean.
Then I made a deal with her, if the next month I inspected and the bathroom was cleaner that this time, I would buy her a new shower curtain. She did and I did.
Now to the discussion at hand.
If you are here to make money.
1. Write YOUR own discussions and allow people to comment on those and you will make money
2. Its considered rude to comment on EVERY comment someone else gets on THEIR discussion, especially when you do it in a manner that its actually YOUR discussion.
3. Yes you can join in the discussion but do it tastefully, not mocking what they have to say to each other on their discussion.
4. By being so annoying about "taking over" someone else`s discussion, that person may just block you or ignore you all together and that is not the best way to make money on mylot.
Now this is just my opinion but for those who thinks its cool, it is NOT cool. Its better to make friends online, especially if you are here to make money.
Thank you for reading this public announcement from the blonde next door.

I like making my own discussion but I will comment on other people's post more than making my own.. and that is nice what you did for those lady's.

Thank you. I would rather make my own also, and just comment on discussions of others what they have to say about their daily life.

I have no problem with people commenting on comment on my posts. I have noticed one person who leaves a one or two word comment on lots of comments but that's not the norm I think he is new. As for being rude, I think there are other things people do far more rude - like name calling. .
What I find more exasperating is people who copy definitions of things from other places and post it word for word as a discussion.

@andriaperry I don't have people calling others names on my posts either - but I see them on other posts.

I am here to have fun and make a few pennies. But I did have to delete a couple rude comments left, mocking me how I commented back. That is why I wrote this discussion, someone else I follow had the same problem last week.
I don`t have any people who call each other names on my discussions.
The one or two words left is okay by me, I know they are new but when the new guy .... never mind.

People have done this on mine, then realize i deleted their comments and asks why. Its my choice to do so as it really bothers me when they do that on my post.

It was nice of you to work with that challenged lady. I am surprised no one had worked with her before. I didn't know it was considered rude to reply to comments on someone else's discussion. It's happened a few times to mine, but I honestly don't mind it. I don't usually reply to all the comments on someone else's post - but sometimes, if a comment particularly inspires me, I'll add my 2 cents.... hopefully that's still considered polite. :-)

@andriaperry Oh! I know what you mean now. Yeah, someone did that to me recently. I didn't exactly... bother me... but it made me wonder. Particularly because their comments didn't really add a lot to the discussion. I wonder what's the motivation behind such behaviors?

I am glad you took the time to explain that to the lady. You helped her in a big way.
That is great advice on how to make money here on Mylot.

I've seen this happen in my post and at first I tried to engage the one making the comments to all the other comments written already. Nothing happened as the person who made the 'secondary comments' didn't bother replying to my comments that were directed to him.
Hopefully, that person adheres to your public service announcement.

It's nice that you noticed that those poor ladies needed to be shown how to clean the bathtub.

@andriaperry At least there is some improvement. Can the government help with some volunteers to help them clean their house?

I've definitely gotten in conversations on other people's posts though, not because I was hijacking their convo, but just because it spurred interesting discussion.

There's been a few times where I've commented on multiple comments on one post, because I wanted to add my opinion to theirs, or challenge a statement they made, but that is very rare. I've never had it happen to my posts, but unless it was rude or off-topic, I wouldn't mind too much, because the more comments I get the more money I make.
