Thank you @MorleyHunt for the great suggestion. I had heard about this lots of times but always laughed it off. It just didn't seem to make sense and I couldn't figure out how it would work anyways.
Well last night before I went to bed I rubbed the soles of my feet with Vicks Vapor Rub and then put on a pair of thick socks. Within 5 minutes I stopped coughing. I slept all night and this morning I feel great!!
It works!! It really does!! I am so amazed and so happy to feel better!

@allknowing I just did it the once last night but had it been earlier in my cold I probably would have had to do it a few times.

It works and it works for children over two also. I guess they have a baby formula that you can use for kids 3 months and older.

I had a great sleep and I haven't coughed all day but I think I was coming to the end of my cold anyway. It just help me not cough at night.

I use to use it that way but never tried it on my feet before. I hadn't used it in years though.

Ha! You must be kidding! I have been coughing (with runny nose) two weeks ago . . it is gone though. Next time I will do the same thing. I got 3 pairs of really thick socks.

Ive always done that with kids Ive babysat that were sick, they make a children's version as well, its a great trick.

I remember my mom rubbing that on my chest when I was a child & had a cold. It did help with coughing & congestion. I just never liked the smell.
