A couple of times I have had to ask some of my close friends if they really know themselves funny, they end up telling me their names even their job/rank status sometimes even their marital status, but have you ever really taken time to ask yourself this same question? OK what if I walk up to you now and throw same question at you. . .who are you really??

This question can go in many different directions which I think is the cause of confusion.
Are you looking for life experiences or character traits? Both make up who a person is.
If it's traits your looking for I am a genuine, sympathetic person who loves the Lord and tries to help as many people as I can while still on this Earth. So yes I'm a Christian.
Also being a mom and wife is who I am as well. I live for them and I would die for them. So they are part of me and who I am as a person.
Complicated question gets a more complicated answer. =)

@LovingMyBabies why do you think this question came up on here 'CONFUSION' and no the question is not confusing or complicated you can only be cofused about the question, your experience is only about the knowledge you gained as a result of what you probably been through or learned,as such it has little or nothing to do with who you are, only who you might become, here are some tips that may help you discover who you are: how well do you know your areas of strength and weakenesses? Keep searching . ..thanks

@Sambriel I disagree. If I didn't go through the things I went through I wouldn't be as compassionate as I am for the homeless people in the world. Because I was homeless I'm compassionate towards the homeless and I help them.
Therefore I'm compassionate and helpful. That's part of who I am as a person.
If I was never homeless I might not be as compassionate for the homeless so my experience helped me find part of me.

It is a question that depends on how the person thinks. If they are a passionate being they will have their personality be themselves, if they are a simple person then they will just say facts. Who am I? I am just a person who wants to make a little bit of a difference!

@Sambriel Of course! I don't want to label myself. Like I could be known as a Screenwriter, but I am not just a screenwriter. I could be a 21 year old, but I'm not just that. I could be known as a plus size woman, but I am much more than that. Those are just facts, but they don't define me completely haha

@DesirousDreamer you're indeed self-aware,a product of your own thinking i love that! Knowing oneself defines ones direction, thanks

This is a question I've asked myself! I'm in my 30s and I'm still trying to work out who I am. I can tell you my name, my job, and some of my life experiences (which aren't very interesting). I could possibly tell you something of my personal character traits and of some of the things I enjoy but I don't know if I could really tell you anything that would describe who I am.

@Sambriel I am working on it! I've been trying to figure it out since I realised I didn't really know who I was about 3 years ago. It seems I've always been someone's mum or someone's partner. I think I am starting to get there with who I am!
