What do you want to do after you retire?

Most people wanted to do traveling after their retirement. I think it is the best thing that they will reward themselves in working for so many years. There is no way that people should question such aspiration. Some people would love to buy a house in the countryside and leave the city for good. If I am going to reach the retirement age, I would also do traveling. But then, I still wanted to be productive as much as possible. I think I am going to get sick if not doing something. Perhaps I can pursue to do some writings on different sites.

I took early retirement and so it is a few years that I don't work anymore. I like to do volunteer work and especially help people to have a better quality of life by helping them with spiritual needs.

@Shavkat I read you post but sadly my health will not permit me to travel and so I will continue to do as much as I can in the community where I live.

that is a nice retirement plan, still writing on some sites. at least, you get to do one of your choices for retirement and yet earn money from doing so

@ridingbet I can manage my time on my online teaching. The DSWD needs to inform me ahead of time.

@Shavkat I will retire to some place quiet and I want to be an author, just like Frederick Forsyth or Ian Flemming. Not exactly their genre, though. What about you?

I agree with you one has to do something to maintain value in his mind. In addition to what you lay out in the list. Having more time with family members is always of priority on my list. Agree?

@Shavkat That's what I would advise you to do.. Gather enough wealth while you're young and strong .. The secret to financial freedom when you get old is to save .. It is not how much you earn but how much you save .. And to save, never live beyond your means ..

I'm retired but I'm living on SSA so I can't do anything. I'm sick and on hospice. If I could I would retire in Hawaii.

Having traveled for many reasons throughout life, traveling during retirement does not sound appealing. No one we know is really retired. Most have positions that take 1/2 of their days and really enjoy staying busy.

I retired twice. First time found myself back in the industry as a consultant...seems the world couldn't keep going without me! I loved it. charged a small fortune, a stupid amount of money...but they still wanted to pay out, so.....! Oh, and I only worked one or two days a week, earning three times what I had done a year before!
Now a I am retired and working asan author and artist. No such thing as doing nothing. lmao

We did a lot of work round the house and had some projects to take care of. We also did some travelling. We also relax a fair bit and also do some volunteer work.
