How will you be spending your day on Sunday? I will be having dinner for family which means I will have some cooking and baking to do. On Friday we had Easter dinner at another family member. Do you have a family get together at Easter? Do you host at your home or you go out to spend the day with family? Happy Easter.

Is that the usually way it is done in Australia or just your choice?

@Freelanzer I really don't know! It was a much bigger deal when the kids were little but they're not even within visiting range now so it's just us at Easter. I know kids hunt eggs and I'm pretty sure families get together so, after all that preamble, I guess it's just our choice.

I actually missed easter activities with the entire family in our countryside home. Its very different if you are in the central district.

I've got my friends and the entire family over the weekend. So I think we're all gonna stay at home instead. Too hot to go out. Summer is killing me. lol

I can relate @Letranknight2015 . It's kinda different if your life is in the city compared to those in the provinces. In the central district, its actually just another day.

It's usually a lazy day for me and the kids. If we're in town, we'll go to church in the morning and then enjoy a lazy day afterward. But most of the time we always seem to be out of town, visiting places like Disney, Busch Gardens, or the beach.

@Freelanzer We ended up staying in town. It was so nice out that I set up a hammock in the trees behind my house and just laid outside and read a book most of the day. It was very peaceful and relaxing.

Very rarely anymore do we get together with extended family for Easter. Those family members live far off and most Easter's my husband has to work. He works in Retail which does not close on Easter Sunday. So, today, is just another day. I celebrate Jesus Resurrection in my heart.

@Freelanzer I wish all stores were closed on Easter Sunday like it is on Christmas Day here.

It is tough when the family lives far apart. Retail is closed here on Easter Sunday.

since we are only 3 at home, we don't spend Easter with other family members. we went to church, then had brunch in a food store.
