It's Easter - Happy Resurrection Day

The best day of the year is here - the day our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead, conquering Hell, Death, and Satan. We can live free in him because he LIVES!
Church was delightful this morning. Children's church put on a great concert performance with some solo orations. It was great. I took my camera and plenty of pictures.
I also took in a basket of dyed eggs for the kids after their performance. I needed to leave the egg basket at church because there are two services.
I'm only on for a minute before I start getting dinner ready. I'm making roasted leg of lamb, sour cream and garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus for dinner. I have two thoughts about dessert, we'll see what happens. Since it needs to go in the oven as well, it might not get made. The lamb will take a few hours to roast.
I hope you are all having or had a wonderful Easter. I will return later, I hope, but I also want to finish Freedom's Cry today. I'm on the last chapter. My boys will also be here later for dinner. So now it's time to get it made so I can eat sometime today.
Thanks for reading.

Your Easter sounds like a sweet family time. Yes on eggs. Quiche for early dinner/lunch with butcher German sausage. And must have asparagus. Scrambled eggs for breakfast: its Spring. The hens are busy pumping out eggs. Happy Easter to you and all of yours.

Your dinner also sounds delicious! It was an egg day for sure. I'm glad the hens are laying well.

I misjudged how long it would take to cook the lamb. I was expecting to eat by 4, but that didn't happen. It was an 11 plus pound lamb and wasn't finished until after 5 and that medium rare and delicious. My youngest son couldn't stay as he had to work, but I sent some dinner to him by way of his older brother. Imagine sending a lamb dinner to someone who works at McDonald's. I wonder how many were envious of him and his delicious meal.

I'm glad that your weekend was nice... and dinner sounds lovely as well. Hubby loves lamb. He hasn't had it in ages as no one else likes it. Should start watching the flyers for him! A leg should last him a while if he doesn't have to share it!!

If it's only for him, you won't need to get a large one and it will still give him plenty to eat. I hope you can find some good sales on it, though I would imagine they are about over.

It was. I still have lamb, and it's just as good as the first day.
