My Married Couple Souvenir

Before I went back home to the Philippines in 2011, I brought with these two couples. It is a keepsake souvenir for staying in Tajikistan. I was cleaning my room and saw them wrap in my shoebox. It reminded me to put them into a frame. These two doll-size souvenirs are wearing the traditional clothes in Tajikistan. Image Credit: Shavkat

That's a nice souvenir. Do you have any news of those children you worked with

Before I went back home, most of the children were able to walk. I lost contact with the hospital. Some of my colleagues from France and British were told me that they continued using my book in giving the proper care of the children.

@Shavkat you accomplished your mission of helping the children walk while you were there, and it's nice to know that the book you left is still being used as reference by your colleagues to continue helping the children at tajikistan

When I was still active in the organization, some of them gave me a souvenir like painting and masai figurines made of wood from Tanzania. I had brought a similar costume from Tajikistan. It was a gift from the local people.

Were you sightseeing there or where you living there for a while? I don't even know where that is. I'd look it up but I'm in the middle of making supper. The frame you'll put them into will it be like a shadow box that you can put on the wall if desired, but dust and dirt won't get in to mar the dolls?
