Why Do Your Go To The Mall??

Actually, there is more to the topic than meets the eye. It could be shopping for a particular item, but there are probably just as many reasons without having spent a cent. That is what this question is all about. What else do you do or do you avoid the mall like the plague?? Yes, I'm one of the few that love the mall... but not necessarily for shopping!

I never go to malls or shops unless I want something in particular. I know many people do enjoy going to malls.

I remember when I was in grade seven... yes years and years ago, going to the mall was something that I HAD TO DO every Saturday. For a dollar you could buy a coke and a plate of french fries. I was in heaven!!

I haven't been to the mall in a very long time, mostly because I don't have the money. However, I've been thinking more and more of going there maybe a couple of times a month and just walking around, partly for the exercise and partly just to watch people! If I go to the food court and get something to eat, watching people becomes the key ingredient to my meal! lol

@Hate2Iron I know quite a few people who only go to the mall to walk and since there have been less and less people actually shopping there, they get quite a workout!

I only go to the mall if I want to shop at those stores. We have a small mall in the small city near us. In the big city I have gone to the mall just to walk with a friend (shop to shop not mall walking) and to have coffee. And I have taken my great nephew to the indoor playground they have at the mall. When my kids were small we went to West Edmonton Mall for the rides, the skating rink, the water park, mini golf, and to sea the seals? I forget what is in their aquarium area.

When it is raining to go to the mall to do my walking. There are lots of mall walkers. They even had a club for them. Also I go to eat or have a coffee. I don't go to the mall all that often even though it is only like a 10 minute walk from where I live.

Yes, they are pretty popular for walking. I used to live across the street from a small one and thought that I would be there every day. Never happened and then we moved here to the country. Now I wish that I had taken advantage lol.

Ha ha I avoid the mall at all costs! I hate it. Besides for clothes I save lots of money by shopping second hand at thrift stores and consignment shops.

LOL... I can't believe how many people are saying that these days. The malls are going to have to find a way to get all of these people back in and spending money! They have to be hurting!!

It's been a long time but my ex boyfriend and I would go to the mall rarely and walk both upper and lower floors. We often window shopped, they had a merry go round and I'd sit side saddle, so to stick. My then boyfriend usually just stood next to mr. It was funny because he got dizzy and acted drunk.those were good memories, ones I'll never get back. I'm on hospice now, but no where near croaking yet.

We have nothing here that can be called "Mall", we have a shopping center with a few stores and two grocery stores inside. I go there because I shop for grocery.

There are just a lot of things to do in the mall. In my country,it is not only a one-stop shop. My family do multiple things there as you can find almost everything there aside from its convenience. We usually do multiple activities there.Like, while my brother is on the spa inside the mall, mom and I would do shopping or buy some groceries. They are also Doctor's clinic and laboratory. So while waiting for your lab results,so can stroll or watch movie to kill time. There are fine dining, buffet restaurants and fast food where families can enjoy eating. One can also do bank transactions there. Usually, banks inside the mall are open seven days a week on mall hours. And I find it more convenient to go to the mall business center to request for government documents because the queue is shorter than the government offices which is always crowded,

I used to have a doctor when I was pregnant with my kids... I loved spending the afternoon there after my monthly appointments!
