research has it that it's a lot easier to gain a few pounds than it is to lose it. This is true especially in women. Think about it, when you eat a lot and rest/sleep very often you'd obviously gain some pounds. isn't that pretty easy and so not stressful? of course it is. but when it comes to losing that extra pounds, it becomes a totally different ballgame, because you'd have to do some strainous exercises and pretty much starve yourself which is a lot harder and stressful.
obesity does not just pose a threat to your confidence and your dream of having that amazing and attractive body, it is also a major risk factor to developing life threatening illnesses like diabetes, hypertension and stroke.

Have you noticed that the first place on your body you gain weight is usually the last place you lose it?

Because you don't want to lose "weight," you want to lose 'useless baggage' (fat you're not using). It's like keeping a system of balances steady---if you take weight from one place, you have to balance it somewhere else.
