Dont Give Up

April 22, 2017 3:11am CST
I teach a group of kids and some of them are extremely goos in spoken english but there is one of them who from the very beginning had a fear of being judged for speaking the wrong english. I always gave him the most of attention , when others would make fun of him i would tell others not to mock him and teach them how importnt it is to be kind. Today that boy won an elocution competition, he ran and hugged me. I feel good not because i helped him learn english but i helped him overcome his fear.. We all can be confident it just takes a bit of time sometimes to see the true picture,

Brilliant. Bringing out the best in a student who lacks confidence is a very good thing to do.

This is a good way of teaching. They expect this kind of treatment only from their teachers.

Forcing someone to talk is not a good idea. By and by they'll do it of their own accord.

@MALUSE @malibu153 I'm sorry, but there is nothing about 'forcing' in the discussion? Did I miss something?

@Mass_Sonu aw thank you so much . I never forced the kid , he was just scared to talk because of what others would think of him , I helped him to overcome his fear that's all !!!!
