Think My Weight Loss has Plateaued

Sad news! I have been a real stickler about becoming active these past 2.5-3 months and managed to lose 25 pounds (I had gained 30 at my sedentary job in the past 2.5 years - I only had 5 more to go to be even!) But as of aboyt a qeek and a half ago the pounds and even ounces seemed to have reached a very sad standstill. I have not eaten badly nor skipped a day at the gym in these two weeks. I also have been wapking my sisters dog several days a week as added exercise. Yet, nothing. Have you experienced this? Do tell. Any advice appreciated. I have read online to drink more water and switch up exercise routines which I have done. Alas....nothing yet. Any advice appreciated! And sorry for any typos, am currently on the dreaded elliptical machine! Happy Monday!

I am sorry sometimes it is hard to continue losing weight at a certain speed, my advice is don't be so worried about the number on the scale but about how you feel and if you feel healthier, maybe you have gained some muscle?

Thanks for the tip. I have been doing free weights and some weight machines about 3 days per week which is more than in the past. I heard that eventually muscle starts burning more calories than fat. But I just wish I felt more progress for the work I have been putting into it. I do feel a little stronger though!

Most folks on a diet reach a plateau but this too will pass. Just hang in there and then all of a sudden it will start coming off again.

Well kind of that has happened to me but I know the cause. It is not as much exercise. I lost what say 35 lbs in around a year, but now I am not as active, I can't lose the last 8 lbs.

How was your water consumption level? I think most of the people can reduce their weight and become slim reducing the consumption of water

Reducing water? I thought water was good for you! No calories and it fills you up and keeps you hydrated. I drink lots and lots of water...at least 4-5 liters per day. Addicted to the stuff really lol

I think you should simply continue with your regime - it will start moving again.

Hello, your question. Personal advice to maintain long-term exercise. In fact, the body is necessary. Monday go. Tuesday is coming. Health is very important. Mind must synchronize. Every day, happy every day
