I've been a vegetarian for 5 years and lately I've been trying to make my transition to veganism. However, during the process, I became sick and the doctor said that I will have to replace a number of lost nutrients. Does someone who is already a vegan know the procedure for the nutrients and vitamins I need to take?

Why do you want this transition? Any specific reason?

@danielasilva Okay, I have been a vegetarian for over 12 years - but I use soy milk, eggs and fish occasionally. Seeing it is only occasionally, - I get my necessary protein from lentils and other legumes, nuts (peanut butter) sometimes I use protein powder in smoothies. I also use a lot of fortified cereals.

@Kandae11 Cool! In my case, I abolished all kinds of meat in my life, including fish. I also use soy protein, though, moderately, because most soy textured proteins go through transgenic manufacturing processes, unfortunately. But I'm consuming plenty of cereals as well, fruits, vegetables and various grains.

Stop consuming derivatives of milks and eggs, beyond the meat.

@TheInvisibleMan I intend not to give up so soon. Stop consuming meats is easy, the hard thing is to stop consuming dairy products and eggs.
