I feel like a different person

I ought to congratulate myself for a job well done. I have kept on postponing this day and frankly speaking, it has been long overdue. But finally, today, I was able to brave modesty and went to an onsen before I could change my mind. For those who don't know yet, onsen is a Japanese hot spring where full nudity is required before bathing. Now you understand my many years worth of hesitation right? Don't get me wrong, folks. Onsen bathing has many health benefits and a must-try stress reliever. In fact, when the burning red flame of shame died down after exposing my body to the world, thanks to that itsy, bitsy, tiny towel, I couldn't help but enjoy the healing water rich in minerals. I stopped feeling so embarrassed and just enjoyed the experience. I did reach my quota of seeing too many exposed butts in my lifetime. But will I ever try it again? Never say never. #YOLObucketlist Thanks Google for the pic.

After you? Lol Not so soon I'm sure. Though Japanese go there as often as they like.

It doesn't really look something I would enjoy to do. I prefer showers over soaking. Under a waterfall. In nature. Early spring. It would be so cold you wouldn't have anything to be ashamed off. But.. if you like it, enjoy your bubbly mineral broth.

If you enjoy it and feel like it is something that you like then you must do it. Sometimes the small things bring the most happiness

@Lupita234 we have onsen but not like Japanese kind of onsen. not to mentioned, in ours, you can jump in fully clothed. Still, I won't step a foot into one.

@sol_cee Yes, as a matter of fact it's for hygiene more than religion, they entered the public pools all dressed up.

First, let me tell you that I had never heard of "onsen" before. So I just went to check on Wikipedia what it was exactly. Must tell you that it will never end up on my "To Do List", so I won't have to worry about crossing it off. I wonder how sanitary it is!
