Is it acceptable?

Sometimes families will struggle and need assistance from everybody in the family. Whether that be helping out around the house or providing money. I'm just wondering, do you think it's acceptable for parents to take money from their kids if they need to? Even if the kid has to save up for things like college or a car?

Unless their is some crazy reason I had to I would do everything in my power to not take money from my kids. Sometimes you don't have a choice but if theirs any other option I'd take that first.

I think it is no question for Asian people. We usually take good care of the elders.

i think it is okay, since the kid does have a responsibility to take care of his or her parents. I still do it now, but maybe it depends in your culture... in ours it is quite acceptable.

I gladly gave my parents money if they needed it. My kids did the same to me if I needed the money. Survival has to come first.
