Talking on phone while driving

Not everyone knows the dangers of talking on the phone while driving. To make matters easy, there is an App that blocks calls while driving with a message informing the caller that the person is driving. That person will not receive the call. Do you have this App? Do you talk on the phone while driving?
Relying on drivers to exert self control each time they get behind the wheel is about as effective as McDonald's letting consumers order salad instead of fries with their value meals, which is to say not terribly.

It is against the law to use a mobile phone whilst driving unless it is bluetooth enabled. The fines have just gone up here. I get really annoyed seeing people on their mobile phones when driving because they are putting other peoples lives at risk. I don't care if they drive into a wall but not if it is going to hurt other people. They are idiots. I love the idea of this app.

@allknowing I really don't care if the morons drive themselves into a tree or wall but I do if they hurt others. It is purely selfishness. Nothing can be that important. People are too reliant on their phones now most of which is not really that important. Life facebook. Do you really care what someone ate for breakfast etc!

@garymarsh6 Worst is when visitors tag their phones along and attend to calls in the midst of a conversation

I don't take a call if I am driving, come what may. This kind of application will really be useful, I am sure.

@allknowing Yes, I fully agree with you. I find it shocking to see when some girls drive scooty with one hand and talking on mobile with their other hand.

That's a good app. I never heard of it. BTW I don't need this app as I never pick a phone whenever I am driving as I know the consequences of the same also because I am scared of the fine which if I may have to be paid if caught by the traffic police

As Gary has already said, in England it's illegal to use your phone while driving. That app sounds like a good idea.

But if someone repeatedly calls you and you know that someone is close you will be tempted to pick up the phone but this App will block calls and send them messages that you are driving.

It is better if you download that App so that those who want to talk to you know you are driving.

That's the right thing to do. If I am riding in a taxi I advise the same thing to the driver.

Talking, texting or surfing the net while driving are all punishable by the law here-too man fatalities are caused by distracted driving. When my phone goes off while I'm driving, I don't even flinch, I have no intentions on answering it nor do I pull over, that is what voicemail is for, I concentrate on driving only-no app for me.

The only time I turn the ringer on for my cell phone is when I am expecting a call, I will take that call if I am driving. Other than that I never talk on the phone while I drive, why? I am watching oiut for the others that are and not paying attention to driving.

Wow...what a wonderful app!!! This is really great. Talking while driving is incredibly dangerous. It is also risky.Studies show that talking on a cell phone affects your driving just as much as like drunken... App is good. But Self awareness is far much better than depending on apps...
